My Hungarian Vizsla, Hanna, who is just over 18 months old, doing some tricks, Vizsla-style. A lot of the tricks on this video are Hanna’s interpretation of what she thinks she is meant to be doing, rather than necessarily what she was being asked to do!
Hanna is trained using positive reinforcement. I mark and reward behaviours I want, then put them on cue. Vizslas are very sensitive, gentle dogs and will not tolerate harsh handling. Patience, consistency and a good tasting treat are the best way to teach your Vizsla tricks.
